Former Indonesian Ambassador Appointed Pembina of WCIJ

Wellington College Independent School Jakarta (WCIJ) has appointed former Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Tommy Suryopratomo, as Pembina of Yayasan Wellington College Independent School Jakarta, reinforcing the school’s commitment to strong governance, stewardship and institutional integrity. The appointment reflects WCIJ’s belief that clear leadership and accountable oversight are essential foundations as the school establishes itself in Indonesia.

Part of the global Wellington College education network, WCIJ is being developed in BSD City with a focus on values-led education, academic excellence and long-term responsibility.

As Pembina, Mr Suryopratomo will support the school’s long-term development and governance, sharing that “education has always been personal to me, and with WCIJ, I have the opportunity to contribute to shaping how young people think, act and take responsibility within society.”
