The WCE Forum 2026, hosted by Wellington College Education (China), was a premier event centred on "Human Flourishing in the Age of AI & The Power of the Network."
The forum embodied WCE’s ambitious vision to become the world’s most respected education provider by fostering high-level discussions among partners and school leaders.

Melissa Meyers, Founding Head of School at Wellington College Independent School Jakarta (WCIJ), attended the WCE Forum for the first time, representing the new school and contributing to strategic discussions.
Attendees contributed to shaping the following year’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of schools at different stages of development. The agenda was carefully designed to address unique challenges while maximizing networking opportunities, both formal and informal.
A highlight of the event was the AISH (Academy of International School Heads) OASIS Day, a hands-on session led by AI expert Rita Bateson, author of The International School Leaders’ Guide to AI. Participants explored six key risks, seven emerging trends, and the 6Ps framework (Preparation, Policies, People, Processes, Protection, Pedagogy) to navigate AI in education effectively. A case study from the Western Academy of Beijing showcased one of the most ambitious whole-school AI initiatives, offering practical insights.

Additionally, Governors, Partners & Masters enjoyed sharing experiences and gaining further support and insight from one another. The forum reinforced the power of the WCE network and collaboration in shaping the future of education.
