Choosing the right education for your child will have a defining impact on their professional success, personal fulfilment, and wellbeing. Discovering whether Wellington is the right fit for your child lies at the heart of our admissions process. We want to offer places to children who will be really happy here, and who have the desire and determination to make the most of all the opportunities on offer to them.

Rich British Heritage

Wellington College was founded in the UK as a living memorial to the Duke of Wellington and was granted its royal charter in 1853. It is also the first British Heritage School to enter the Jakarta market, with a legacy of excellence as a school of choice for students all over the world,

with 170+ years of history and remarkable achievements both inside & outside the classroom. We continuously adapt and refine our curriculum to prepare students for the ever-changing world.

A Family of Schools, Globally Connected

Wellington College Education (WCE) is the global educational network of Wellington College, whose purpose is to align and maximise the impact of all our global education activities, directly or through partnership, with the ultimate aim of the whole being significantly greater than the sum of the individual parts.

Encompassing ten co-educational schools and approximately 8,000 students around the world, in the UK, China, Thailand, India and the US, WCE expands educational opportunities, fosters cultural connectivity through leadership, innovation and international collaboration, and empowers young minds. WCI Schools are proud to be accredited members of COBIS and FOBISIA—respected international associations that reflect our commitment to high-quality British international education. These memberships also open doors for our students to take part in prestigious global events and competitions.

Academic Excellence

Wellington College consistently achieves outstanding examination results at GCSE, A-Level, and ranks among the top 10 schools globally for the IB Diploma. Our curriculum follows the full British learning continuum and IB from ages 3 to 18, delivered by highly qualified and experienced educators.

Although Wellington College is an academic school, we believe passionately in a holistic education. Selection for entry is not solely based on academic criteria as we also consider the character, interests, talents and personality of every individual who applies.

Our programs of learning have been in development for 170 years and are proven to work all around the world.

Excellence in Early Education

Wellington College is internationally recognised as a leader in Early Years education. We work in close partnership with globally respected subject matter experts and are proud to have a dedicated team of highly experienced Early Years educators, many of whom are graduates of the world’s leading universities.

Our Early Years in WCI Pune earned the prestigious Curiosity Approach Accreditation, focusing on fostering curiosity, creativity & holistic development in Early Years.

We have a generous Adult to Child ratio in the Early Years – 1:4 in Nursery & 1:8 in Reception. This ratio is strictly maintained throughout the day.

All of these aspects are to ensure we uncover, nurture, and realise your children's potential.

Highly Qualified Faculty

Wellington College is staffed by a distinguished international faculty, bringing globally qualified and experienced teachers to families seeking world-class education close to home. Our teachers typically hold degrees from top-tier institutions—such as UK Russell Group universities, or leading universities in the US,

Australia, and New Zealand—and are highly experienced in delivering both the English National Curriculum and the IB programme. Our local teachers are fully qualified, and most will hold qualifications from an overseas university.

All faculty members are subject to rigorous background & police checks.

A Highly Active Alumni

We have developed a global professional and social network called Old Wellingtonians (OW), delivering a diverse programme of events and offering invaluable careers support, guidance, and mentoring opportunities. We offer invaluable careers support and guidance for students and OWs.

Notable alumni from our network include novelist George Orwell, actor Sir Christopher Lee, architect Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, F1 champion James Hunt.

There are 5500+ members in the community, actively hosting monthly events, networking and career opportunities, student mentorship and scholarship, as well as fundraising.
